ATTENTION! Confused Dates

Tuesday's Classes: Changed Agenda!!!

I had originally announced in class that Tuesday's classes would meet in R-01 for Dr. Baliram Gaikwad's talk, BUT that lecture occurs the FOLLOWING week.  Instead, BOTH classes will be "workshopping" the video analyses, hopefully in the writing lab. So COME TO CLASS TUESDAY!!!!

Monday Guest Lecturer

My 11 am Monday class in L-228 will have a guest instructor, Dr. Ed Bonahue, who is the Provost of the college and former head of the Humanities Department.  I do not know exactly what he will cover, but I do know he will go over some aspect of Act III in Macbeth, so make sure you are ready to discuss.  Anyone from my other classes is welcome to attend.

Dr. Baliram Gaikwad at 11 am, Tuesday, Feb. 19 in R-01

On 2/19 (NOT 2/12), my Tuesday's classes will meet at 11 am in R-01 for Dr. Baliram Gaikwad, the Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at UF has agreed to visit our campus to present a lecture titled “African-American and Dalit Literature: Transnational Connections in protest Literature.” Dr. Gaikwad is the Chair of the English Department at N. G. Acharya and D. K. Marathe College in Mumbai.  The talk he is proposing is essentially explores the voices of the oppressed through literature.  He will analyze the personal, literary and historical linkages between the African-Americans and the Dalit or “Untouchable” Caste in India.
